USB 2.0 480Mbps Extender kit 50 m.
NU1-100
The NU1-100 is a USB 2.0 extender that extends USB signals up to 50 m over a single CAT5/5e/6 cable at full 480 Mbps throughput. The transmitter connects to the host PC via USB-B and is bus-powered; the receiver provides two USB-A outputs for peripherals such as cameras, printers, or touch screens. Compact metal enclosures with plug-and-play operation make it suited for conference rooms, classrooms and control room installations.

Description
The NU1-100 extends USB 2.0 connectivity up to 50 m using a single CAT5/5e/6 cable, maintaining the full 480 Mbps data rate of the USB 2.0 specification. This solves the fundamental distance limitation of native USB, which typically fails beyond 5 m without active extension — a common problem in installed AV environments where the host PC sits in a rack or credenza and USB peripherals are positioned at the table, lectern, or display end of the room.
The transmitter takes its power directly from the host PC's USB port, requiring no separate power supply at the source end. A single USB-B connection to the PC carries all data upstream. At the remote end, the receiver provides two USB-A output ports for connecting peripherals — cameras, speakerphones, touch screens, printers, USB drives, or HID devices such as keyboards and mice. The receiver requires a DC 5 V/1 A power supply, which is included.
ESD protection is built into both units at ±8 kV air-gap discharge and ±4 kV contact discharge, providing resilience against static events that are common in dry office environments and industrial settings. The compact metal enclosures (82 × 49 × 20 mm, 100 g each) mount discreetly behind displays, under tables, or inside furniture cavities.
One consideration for system design: each USB hub in the signal chain between host and device reduces the achievable CAT cable distance by approximately 12 m. In a direct PC-to-extender connection with no intermediate hubs, the full 50 m is available. Where an existing USB hub sits between the PC and the transmitter, plan for a reduced maximum of around 40 m.
Installation is plug-and-play with no drivers or software required. Standard straight-through (T568B) CAT cable wiring is used. The NU-N100 is a practical solution for conference rooms where a room PC needs to reach a ceiling camera and table speakerphone, classrooms with interactive displays, and control rooms where operator peripherals are separated from the host system.
